Meeting Information
Luncheon Meetings Our luncheon meetings are held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, 1 John Nolen Drive in Madison. Registration begins at 10 a.m., announcements begin at 10:45 and the program begins at 11:00. For safety reasons, coats may not be left on the backs of chairs, but coat racks are available in the meeting room at no charge. The 5-minute Public Affairs speech is given shortly after 11:00, followed by a short pre-lunch program. During that time, the doors are closed so that late-arriving members and guests do not disrupt the program. But as soon as the pre-lunch program is over, doors are opened for late arrivers to be seated. The main speaker gives his or her presentation after lunch. The meeting ends after the main speech and question-and-answer period, which is usually by 1:30 at the latest. Reservations & Cancellations Reservations & Cancellations: Luncheon meeting reservations should be mailed to the Reservations Chair, Kay Jarvis-Sladky, P.O. Box 5461, Madison, WI 53705-0461. The cost of bringing a guest is $25 ($10 for students). If you are unable to attend a luncheon for which you have already made a reservation, please call Kay Jarvis-Sladky at 831-9331 by 7 p.m. on the Monday prior to the meeting. If you cancel your unneeded reservation before the deadline, we can apply the meal cost savings to a student group; even if you cancel after the deadline, this will permit us to admit additional guests. We appreciate your attention to this detail. Nonmembers: See FAQs regarding meeting reservations for nonmembers. Parking Parking is available within the Monona Terrace Complex for a $4.00 charge. You may enter the parking lot from either John Nolen Drive or West Wilson Street. Additional parking is available at the Government East Ramp, located at the corner of Doty Street and West Wilson Street, and at other ramps. There is a covered drop-off area at the main entrance on Level 4 of the Monona Terrace parking area. Cancelled Meetings In the unlikely event that a meeting must be canceled due to bad weather or another emergency situation, an announcement concerning the cancellation will be broadcast on WIBA 1310 AM. Canceled meetings will not be rescheduled, and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds. Canceled meetings are a very rare occurrence. Unused meals are donated to local food pantries.
