Greetings!

We are delighted to share with you the exciting details of the 2009-2010 Madison Civics Club luncheon speaker series, " Defying the Odds: When They Said It Couldn't Be Done."  

Many of the events of this past year surely defy the odds:   An extraordinary presidential election, transformations in our economy, advances in technology, and developments in foreign affairs.   We know that each of you has personally had to defy the odds at some point in your life, and we hope that you will share our eagerness to hear the five amazing speakers whose personal journeys and achievements epitomize our theme.  

As is our tradition, each luncheon program will include a brief public affairs talk by a Madison Civics Club member on a topic related to the speaker's presentation. We will also continue to honor individuals engaged in activities that enhance our communities, and will honor students and their organizations through our Youth Grants initiatives, funded by sponsorships and member donations.
